Thing #18
I have a differing opinion on Facebook and Twitter. I recently deleted my Facebook account, due to possible security issues. I was worried after watching the video about predators being able to discover your locations based on the pictures on my site. I still have a twitter account, however, I only use it to follow other educational sources. This is the only reason that these sites may be useful to teachers. I also decided that Facebook is an easy way for people to snoop in on your life rather than actually taking the time to have a relationship with you. I don't want to accidentally post something inappropriate and be reprimanded for it by the APSU College of Education. Twitter seems to have more useful features than Facebook. I don't think a classroom or school application would be appropriate without censorship.

I agree with you about how people use social networking to snoop into your life, instead of actually taking the time to get to know you. I deleted my facebook about a year ago, and I've actually been much happier since I did!
